Neutral Earthing-Grounding
Neutral Earthing Resistors (NER's) sometimes referred to as Neutral Grounding Resistors (NGR's) by our American cousins, are used in distribution networks to limit the current flowing through the neutral point of a transformer or generator in the event of an earth fault. NERs reduce the fault current to a value which negates any further damage to the, generators or transformers beyond what has already been caused by the fault itself.

We can supply NER's in many variants, skid mounted, IP23-IP54, VC control contactors, on-load, off load isolators. Fitted with CT's, VT's, anti-con heaters, local or remote control of contactors. Housings Galvanized, painted, or for marine applications 304 or 316 Stainless enclosures.

All NER's have type test approval, and meet with all current requirements in particular ANSI-IEEE 32
